The Wall Street Journal Reports that Hulu is considering adding an ad-free tier to their subscription model. The report says the plan would cost $12-14, a $-6 increase over their current rate.

Many will say that this is how Hulu should have been from the start, and that it’s insane that we’re paying for their service and still getting ads. I know that seems ridiculous, but Hulu’s business models simply is not sustainable at just $8/month. Leaving the ads in was the only way Hulu was able to stay profitable while still paying television networks enough in commissions to get all the content they currently have.

I don’t know for sure if I would jump on this option, but it is nice to have out there. I may even get it just to never see a Daily Burn ad ever again.
