# Billions of Worlds in a Single Pixel

[NASA has released](https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-reveals-webb-telescope-s-first-images-of-unseen-universe?ref=birchtree.me) the first full color images captured by the James Webb Space Telescope and they're pretty spectacular. Lines like this from the press release really get me:

> For a person standing on Earth looking up, the field of view for this new image, a color composite of multiple exposures each about two hours long, is approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length.

The image at the top of this post is just the tiniest bit of space we can see. It's a single "pixel" in our vision, yet it contains more *stuff* than we can even imagine.
