# Shawn Blanc Finds His Niche

I really like Shawn Blanc's work. His [website](http://shawnblanc.net/?ref=birchtree.me) and (somewhat) daily [podcast](http://shawnblanc.net/members/?ref=birchtree.me) have been going for years and originally focused on technology. His site quickly shifted to focusing on productivity apps, and recently he's simply dropped the "apps" part entirely.

And that's great!

Shawn found the thing that he loved, the thing he did better than anyone else in the space. And once he found it, he did the unthinkable: he made a business about it. [The Focus Course](https://thefocuscourse.com/?ref=birchtree.me) looks really good, and it seems to be working out great. If you want a taste of the project, there's a free course called The Elements of Focus. I'm going through it now and it's excellent.
