Josh Ginter wrote a [review of the Hobonichi Techo](http://thenewsprint.co/2015/01/19/hobonichi-techo/?ref=birchtree.me) that convinced me to take the time to figure out the Yen to US Dollar conversion and order one for myself. The photography is excellent, especially for a solo blogger.

I just got back into using [Plex](https://plex.tv/?ref=birchtree.me) and it's awesome. They just released a new version for Android this week, and have new apps for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

1Password got big updates on [iOS](https://blog.agilebits.com/2015/01/26/1password-5-2-for-ios-the-awesomesauce-edition/?ref=birchtree.me) and the [Mac](https://blog.agilebits.com/2015/01/26/1password-5-1-for-mac-the-syncerrific-edition-is-here/?ref=birchtree.me) that make using the apps just a little nicer. They're free to existing users, so check them out!

[Alfred Remote](http://www.alfredapp.com/remote?ref=birchtree.me) was released just this morning and is a tool that I love, but am still figuring out how I can use it. My early tests with it have been extremely responsive, so I'm intrigued by the potential. Alfred Remote is [$4.99 on the App Store](https://itunes.apple.com/app/alfred-remote/id927944141?mt=8&uo=4&at=10l8rH&ref=birchtree.me).

Are you excited for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? You should be, and [this brand new 15 minute gameplay video](http://www.gamersyde.com/news%5Fthe%5Fwitcher%5F3%5Fgameplay%5Fvideo-16213%5Fen.html?ref=birchtree.me) shows why. Wow.

[Twitterrific](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/twitterrific-5-for-twitter/id580311103?uo=4&at=10l8rH&ct=TWITTERRIFIC%5FSITE%5FIOS&mt=8&ref=birchtree.me) got updated to version 5.9 this week and has once again stolen me away from Tweetbot. I am *so happy* that they added many more media services such as Instagram, Vine, and Twitter's own GIF support.

And finally, [Recode has a first look at Sling TV](http://recode.net/2015/01/26/sling-tv-dishs-20-web-tv-service-rolls-out-today-heres-what-its-like/?ref=birchtree.me), Dish's attempt to get you to cancel your cable subscription. I am looking pretty seriously at this service, and it's good to hear that it's actually pretty good.
