Good morning eveyone! It's a beautiful, steamy summer day here in the midwest. Supposedly my employer is okay with people wearing shorts, but I'm still not comfortable enough to be that casual at work. Maybe come August when it gets *really hot*.

The news that hit me the hardest this past week was the untimely passing of Nintendo's Satoru Iwata. He was an incredibly powerful force not only inside Nintendo, but his contributions to the gaming world as a whole are immeasurable. He was an amazing person by all accounts, and he'll be missed by millions. This excerpt from [Polygon's retrospective](http://www.polygon.com/features/2015/7/13/8940557/satoru-iwata-accomplishments-timeline-biography-life?ref=birchtree.me) struck me as the quintessential Iwata story. More leaders like this, please.

> Iwata analyzes the game logic from Pokémon Red and Green to bring it to the Nintendo 64 for Pokémon Stadium. While serving as president of HAL Laboratory, Iwata ports the code in about a week. 'I was saying things like: Is that guy a programmer? Or is he the President?' Pokémon developer Game Freak's Shigeki Morimoto said in an Iwata Asks.

Oh yeah, and today is double video day. Enjoy!

Ernest Cline’s new book, [Armada](http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fantasy/Armada-Audiobook/B00VN0Q8XY/?ref=birchtree.me) is out today. I haven’t read it yet, but if it’s similar to his last book, Ready Player One, we’re in for a treat. Will Wheaton is narrating the audiobook too, which is a plus.
