[Sony Says Pop-Up Notifications Will Come to Android Wear - ReadWrite](http://readwrite.com/2015/04/21/sony-reveals-new-android-wear-pop-up-notifications?ref=birchtree.me)

> According to Sony, Google gave its watch platform more than just flick-based controls, always-on apps, and a new built-in app launcher. Android Wear devices like the SmartWatch 3 will also get pop-up notifications and adjustable font sizes. Considering there are no actual software differences between Android smartwatches, all of them should get the changes. I contacted Google, which confirmed the new additions. 

The pop up notifications described in the article are one of the big ways that Apple Watch differs from the present version of Android Wear, and now it looks like Google is following Apple’s lead. Kind of reminds me of how Google responded to Apple entering the smartphone game in 2007…
