[Chance Miller: Leaked schematic image claims to show true size of iPhone 14 'notch + pill' cutout design](https://9to5mac.com/2022/02/26/iphone-14-design-schematic-notch-leaked/?ref=birchtree.me)

> A newly leaked schematic posted to Weibo claims to offer a more precise look at this design change, showing the true size of that hole + pill design.

I can’t find the first time I said it publicly, but I’ve really come around on hole-punch screens over the past couple years. I used to prefer the notch, but as I’ve used more hole-punch displays, they really do offer a better experience while giving you more pixels on screen to work with. I’ve got an iPhone 13 Pro Max and Pixel 6 in the house, and when they’re side-by-side, it’s obvious to me now that the hole-punch is less obtrusive. Neither enrages me or anything, we’re just talking relatives here.

Also, wallpaper makers should start working on wallpapers that incorporate the hole punch ASAP. These are huge on Android (specifically Samsung), so I can only assume they’ll be a hot commodity for iPhone users as well.
