Check out the opening line from [Engadget's review](https://www.engadget.com/2016/10/05/asus-zenbook-3-review/?ref=birchtree.me) of the ASUS ZenBook 3:

> Apple's tiny MacBook was a revelation when it debuted last year. It was thinner and lighter than most ultraportables on the market, and its refined design brought over some cues from Apple's mobile hardware.

You often hear people complaining about how Apple used to be better, and that their revolutionary product were unanimously cheered upon release, but anyone paying attention knows that's a generous overstatement. Yes, Apple has released many amazing, and a few revolutionary products over the course of their existence, but none have been loved by all at their inception.

The iPhone was mocked for not having Flash and for being too big. The MacBook Air was slammed for removing the "we'll always need it" DVD drive and being slow. The iPad was mocked for years as being just a big iPod Touch. But we look back on these today with hindsight and say that they were brilliant basically from the start and each changed the industry overnight.

We're only a year and half beyond the introduction of the MacBook and it's fun to see some reviewers already saying the MacBook was so obviously a revolution.
