I didn’t get to try out all the smartphones that came out in 2018, but I used the heavy hitters: iPhone XS/XR, Pixel 3, OnePlus 6, Galaxy S9…

These are all good phones in their own ways, but for the first time in years, my picks are not the most expensive phones money can buy.
