All from nerdy tech writers, of course. [Marco Arment wrote a post](http://www.marco.org/2015/03/20/dumbwatch-future?ref=birchtree.me) last night about this where he dropped this gem:

> Once you’re accustomed to wearing one, going out for a night without your Apple Watch is going to feel like going out without your phone.

In a similar vein, Jason Snell has been on a bunch of podcasts lately giving this comparison[1](#fn-457-1):

> At some point, someone looked at their pocket watch and had the revelation, "what if I put a strap on this and had it on my wrist at all times?" Maybe we're getting to that point in smart phones as well.

And finally, [my own analogy](http://static1.squarespace.com/static/558e2322e4b0f74ef3e717b7/558ea28be4b08a526530b76c/558ea2a5e4b08a526530c286/1435411109898/?format=original&ref=birchtree.me) that I've been telling to remind people about how something that solves even a small headache, one we didn't even know we had, is only obvious after you have it.

> The best analogy I can think of is to compare them to the remote door unlock button you probably have on your car keys. Yes, you could survive if you lost the button, but would you really want to?
