Good news for fan of video games[1], hardware sales of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are 60% higher at this point in their lives than the combined sales of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. 15 months into this generation of gaming, there have been 18.94 million PS4s and 11.33 Xbox One’s sold. To put those numbers in perspective, the GameCube sold 21 million units in its 5 year lifespan and the original Xbox sold 24 million.

Not too bad for an industry that the tech press insist is dying.
