Instapaper rolls out InstaRank version 2:

Today, we’re excited to announce the release of InstaRank v2, an update to our InstaRank algorithm, which identifies popular, high-quality content across Instapaper. In this update, InstaRank will retain its focus on identifying high-quality content but with an added emphasis on discovering great material from less popular domains.

I switched to Pocket many months ago, but I still use Instapaper's Instapaper Weekly newsletter to find fun things to read. I also really like their iOS app, which has flourished since Betaworks' acquisition in 2013. This move to surface great content from smaller websites is a breath of fresh air, and awesome for finding new things to read outside of the typical long form sources.
