From February 20, 2020 through September 10, 2021, I sent a Birch Bark email every Friday morning. That's 83 issues in a row, with a few bonus issues in there once in a while. Then I ran out of time to get one out on September 17, and I ended the streak.

Then I just didn't feel like doing one on the 24th.

Then October 1st rolled around and I still didn't feel like it.

Oh boy, what's going on with the newsletter?

I don't actually know what's up with the newsletter. I got some traction with it, about 600 people are subscribed, which is awesome but it's not really gaining momentum these days, and I'm no longer getting as much gratification in making it each week. I've mixed up the format a few times to try and make it both engaging for readers and sustainable for me to have time to do it, but breaking the streak really killed my momentum, so obviously I didn't land somewhere good.

I plan on getting back to it this week, so please subscribe if you're at all interested in getting fun links in your inbox at the end of every week. And if you like it, leave a comment or drop a like on the issue, that really helps me know I'm doing the right thing!
