Some notable Threads users you can follow on Mastodon
Meta rolled out federation to users in the US, Canada, and Japan recently, and it's opt in, which I think is the right way to do it, even if it means it's going to take a while for most accounts to enable it. I have tried to do my part to make this less scary for Threads users, so hopefully more will do it in time. To be clear, Mastodon is my home on social media (@[email protected]) but a lot of people and groups I want to keep up with haven't chosen to use Mastodon. The magic of federation is that we all get more choice on what software we use and what accounts we can follow.
With that out of the way, here's an assortment of accounts you can follow right now to jump start your follow list. Just copy the username and search for it in your Mastodon app and it should show up like any other federated account.
Reply to me on Mastodon if you have other notable accounts you think I should add to the list!
