But as somebody who has wasted eons of his life looking at loading screens in streaming videos and video games, having to do so on Google Search is a deal-breaker for me. And when the results don’t feel noticeably better than what I could get just by looking at what Google offered before, I don’t think SGE is worth waiting for.
I haven’t used Google’s new text generation feature yet, but I will say that after using these LLM-powered tools for a while, I do always find Google to be shockingly quick whenever I do a traditional search. I can ask Google basically anything and have the answer in less than a second, and that’s just a great experience.
