A Quick Thought on Yesterday's Monumental SCOTUS Decision

The best part of all this is that the people who tried so hard to make marriage equality illegal are the very reason it’s legal today.

The Supreme Court didn’t just decide that marriage equality is the new law, they (and all the other state courts) struck down rules that banned gay marriage. If conservative legislatures/governors/groups hadn’t pushed for these laws in the first place, we likely would not have made the rapid progress we have had in recent years.

Yesterday was a monumental day that will be looked at by all future generations as a point of pride.

And if you’re holding out hope for an amendment that will remove this right, enjoy that pipe dream. There is a 0% chance of that happening, so don’t get your hopes up.
