Housekeeping on the Newsletter Change

I wanted to address a couple things that I didn’t mention in my original post announcing the newsletter changes. No one has asked these yet, but I wanted to get ahead of them anyway, just in case.

How Many Emails am I Getting, Exactly?

You will still get 1 email per week from me, and it will still deliver early Friday morning (US time). My normal blog posts (like this one) won’t trigger emails. People signed up for a weekly email of fun stuff on the web, not for all my blog posts.

If you do want everything, then RSS continues to be the best option, and my normal feed (here) will have all blog posts and newsletters in it, so just subscribe to that.

I Hate This Change, How Do I Leave?

I’m sad to see you go, but the easiest way is to unsubscribe is from the bottom of the email. You can also manage your preferences using the “Weekly Newsletter” button at the bottom of the page. Enter your email, you’ll get a sign in link sent to you, and then you can manage your preferences.

If all else fails, tweet at me and I’ll take care of it for you.

Are You Going to Move the Newsletter Every December?

This should be it! I’ve been blogging with Ghost for years and now that the newsletter is here too, I’m really committed to the platform for the long run.

Honestly, it’s more likely that I’ll end the newsletter before I make another migration 😂
