A Watch that Just Tells Time?

I really like the design of this watch face, but my Apple Watch has trained me to think a watch that only shows this information is a waste of space. Any simple watch can tell you the time, but the big appeal of the Apple Watch to me is that it does more than that.

There's space in the world for things on your wrist that just tell you the time, but I guess I've been spoiled by have watch faces that tell me not only the time, but also the date, weather, my activity data, calendar events, todo items, and more when I raise my wrist. I've mentally shifted to expecting that data to be there every time. When it's not there, I feel like my watch is basically broken.

Using a watch face like this reminds me of people who you used to see would remove all apps from their home screen and just leave the phone and messaging apps because it emulated what flip phones used to do and they were comfortable with that setup. I never did that with my smartphone, and I don't see myself ever going back to doing that with my smart watch.
