Apple as the Anti-Google
With Apple planting their flag firmly in the ground of user privacy and security, I’m more willing to give their service a shot. Proactive looks almost exactly like what I’ve dreamed of… and it’s only the start of what could become a life-changing set of technologies. I want in.

Goodies: June 9
Good morning, everyone! In the past 24 hours I have quit my job (where I’ve worked for 6 years), signed the paperwork for a new awesome job (yay!), and completely missed all the WWDC hoopla yesterday. It’s been a crazy 24 hours and I am so grateful that I have this relaxing Tuesday
Google Photos is (Auto) Awesome
But when presented with a vast volume of photographs, Auto Awesome and Stories really shine. Our 24,000 photos date back over a decade, back to when we got our first digital camera in 2000. Google gradually worked its way through our photo library, creating animations and stories year after year, and in the process

It’s Simple: Buy Your Music If You Want to Own It
I’m going to make a wild prediction: the iTunes Music Store, with its gobs and gobs of DRM-free M4A files isn’t going to go away on Monday, or any time for the foreseeable future.

45 Days with the Apple Watch (Yes, I Still Use My iPhone)
The Apple Watch has been released for 45 days and I am one of the lucky few who has had one that entire time. I have worn the Watch basically every waking moment (outside of showers, because I’m not risking it!) and have figured out how the device fits into my life. I like

Life with a 16GB iPhone (Not Great, Bob!)
I need to vent just a little.
Life with a 16GB iPhone is nearly impossible! Frankly, I don’t know how anyone does it. I have 2 games installed (Alto’s Adventure and Desert Golfing, for those interested) and 48 apps from the App Store. I think that’s a pretty reasonable number of apps

USB-C is the Future
And earlier today Intel helped deliver the first blow, announcing that Thunderbolt 3 would adopt the USB-C connector after previous iterations used Mini DisplayPort.
