Daring Fireball: The Tragedy of Safari 15 for Mac’s ‘Tabs’

Apple has thrown away Safari’s tab design — a tab design that was not just best-of-platform, but arguably best-in-the-whole-damn-world — and replaced it with a design that is both inferior in the abstract, and utterly inconsistent with the standard tabs across the rest of MacOS.

It’s hard for me to argue with this. I used to love Safari for the Mac, but now I’m like “I still like it overall, but the tabs are by far the worst I’ve seen in any browser ever.”
