Heartlessly Blogging as a Top to Your Sales Funnel

It's super short, so no quote here, but this post, No, I’m Not Selling You a Course, will surely resonate with lots of people. Too much of blogging has turned into a way to get people onto your site so you can show them a "I know you were trying to read, but let me interrupt that to sell you something" modal pop up.

Maybe it's an overreaction, but it feels like it rips the soul out of blogging. What if you wrote on your blog to entertain and to educate rather than to be something disposable that gets someone into your sales funnel?

I don't do that here, and if I ever do, point me to this post and alert me that I've jumped the shark.
