Notion's Onboarding Experience: A Case of Simplicity and Delightfulness

Their Personal Onboarding experience is that simple. They use simple language, simple illustrations, and simple design to guide you through the most important stage of any online service. It’s a make-or-break point and Notion’s got it right.

Notion definitely does a good job of getting you into the app. That said, I think they could do some work to get people going a little further into the service. I’ve talked to quite a few people (and listened to more on podcasts) who have bounced off the app because once they get in, they don’t know where to go from there. Then you go to YouTube and you find people who run their entire lives from Notion and you get intimidated because you just want to take notes and do some basic task tracking.

I use Notion, and I think it’s great in some pretty significant ways, but I would love to see it land with more people.
