Okay, Walmart 👀

Walmart has announced stores will be closed Thanksgiving this year:

Today, Walmart announced all U.S. store locations will close for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, as a ‘thank you’ to associates for their continued hard work during the pandemic.

I mean okay, you're totally doing it as a "thank you to your employees," and not because it's not worth it financially. Target and Best Buy are also not going to be open Thanksgiving day, and we've seen some pretty clear trends in recent years that while the holiday shopping season is still massive, Black Friday ain't what it used to be.

But whatever the reason for it, as someone who didn't spend Thanksgiving with my family for several years when I worked at Target, I'm happy that more people will be able to do that this year than before.
