Charles Pulliam-Moore:

Watchmen’s first season was like a mechanical watch with jewel movements: an intricate piece of artwork deftly assembled by master craftspeople that was both meant to be admired by those who saw it and to serve a larger, more important purpose.

The post above includes spoilers for the finale of Season 1, so only read the rest if you're caught up!

Watchmen was such a perfect show and I looked forward to it every Sunday like few other shows in recent history. I really admire how finely tuned the storytelling was and how little time it spent on things that didn't matter. Everything matteredand the show rewarded those who paid close attention, all while being interesting moment-to-moment for those who watched more casually.

I want to go back and watch it again so I can see every moment of it again with open eyes to what was actually going on.
