Xiaomi didn't copy the MacBook Air, yet | The Verge

The problem here isn’t whether or not Xiaomi copies Apple’s design (it definitely does — we wrote about this exact issue yesterday). The problem is that, in the eyes of the Western media, Xiaomi's copying has become the company’s defining narrative.

Xiaomi does make good software, and despite being a blatant copy, their phone hardware is really good. It's a shame that this is what goes through our minds first when we hear the name "Xiaomi."
