This Bloomberg report makes the new HTC phone sound pretty good:

Its new phone resembles last year’s M8 in size and design, with gold, gray and silver options, and features Qualcomm Inc.’s eight-core Snapdragon 810 processor, which has advanced video capabilities, the person said. The device includes Dolby Laboratories Inc.’s Dolby 5.1 audio technology and HTC’s latest Sense 7 user interface with improved location-based services.

This all sounds well and good, but it would also mean going back to Android. I just don't think I'm ready to do that. Despite all the doom and gloom around some of the Apple community lately, I'm as happy as ever in the Apple ecosystem since spending some time with the competition last year.
