Yes, Notion is fiddly. But as we all discovered in a matter of just a few days, Notion is very easy to understand once you’ve spent a few minutes with it. Then, from there, you can really be cruising with it and building notes and projects in no time.

I think this is spot on. Notion is indeed confusing the first time you open it. It can also feel intimidating if you go to YouTube and watch a video or two that shows how someone uses Notion to run their whole life and business and that they do it by embedding databases inside of databases…

It's a lot.

If you spend a few minutes with the app and learn the basics of how it works, it suddenly becomes way less intimidating. The complexity ceiling is quite high, but you don't have to go there at the start, if ever.
