Mark Spoonauer ran some tests and it looks like the iPhone 7 destroys the top of the line Android phones in all benchmarks. The biggest variance in his test is in JavaScript performance, which lines up with my subjective experience of browsing the web.

That's the Geekbench score comparison from Mark's article, and for reference my year old iPhone 6s Plus scores 4076. Apple's chip team is absolutely killing it.
