Polygon put out this awesome piece by Russ Pitts about the history of Xbox Live.

For Eric Neustadter, who literally built the service from scratch out of server parts and Cisco routers, witnessing the birth and maturation of Xbox Live has been one of the most extraordinary experiences of his life.

I've never paid for a single month of Xbox Live, so I really don't have any history with the the service. This story made me care about it and everyone involved. Great work!

I also made a HuffDuffer link to the audio version of the piece, if you'd prefer to listen in your podcast app of choice.
